Dear Reader,

After a decade in corporate finance and as a qualified CPA with an MBA I repeatedly see how difficult it is for people to deal with even the most basic concepts of personal finance. It’s a trend happening with the vast majority of the Australian population. So I decided to do something about this and co-founded Money Savvy Kids with my wife, Jacqui.

With so much financial advice and assistance available for adults, our dream is to teach the money management basics to primary and secondary school children, a segment of our educational system virtually untouched because of the perceived complexity of the subject matter. Stated differently, I wanted to get "out in front" of money management behaviour before bad habits set in. We need to teach our kids the ABC’s of money, before they learn the DEF’s (debt, entitlement and financial failure).

To make our dream a reality we have partnered with the worlds leader and the expert authority on children’s money, Susan Beacham, Founder & CEO of Money Savvy Generation to bring you a range of products that touch kids emotionally and change their behaviour to develop good life long money habits.

The cornerstone of successful money education for kids is the Money Savvy Pig. This is the piggy bank for the 21st century, a bank that gives kids choices with their money; to either, save, spend, donate or invest.

Our dream is becoming a reality, but Money Savvy Kids has only scratched the surface. If you share our dream, we welcome your enthusiasm and assistance in helping kids get smart about money.
